School Travel Statistics

Since 2000, Active and Safe Routes to School Peterborough has been collecting School Travel Statistics from schools around the city. The following charts display travel trends, across the years, for schools in various Peterborough neighbourhoods. The data was gathered using a School Travel Survey (link survey here), completed over the course of one week during the month of November. The information gathered is being compared to the most recently available Student Travel Services of Central Ontario (STSCO) student ‘walk’ and ‘bus’ designations.

Note: During the 2007-2008 and 2008-2009 school years, a Car-Free School Days Pilot Program was operating at the South-End and North-End schools.
