On the Bus

“On the Bus” is a fun and interactive introduction to the Peterborough Transit System provided free-of-charge for Grade 3 classes in the City of Peterborough. This program focuses on active and efficient transportation choices, and is tailored to meet specific curriculum expectations.

This two-hour workshop begins when the City Bus arrives at your school to pick you up! While on your bus tour of Peterborough’s downtown core, activities will focus on the application of map reading skills and will seek to develop one’s sense of local community.  This trip also includes a stop at Peterborough’s Ecology Park for some outdoor games related to transportation choices, air quality and climate change as well as a stop at the Peterborough Transit Authority’s Bus Barn for a chance to speak with the drivers!
